High Voltage Steel and Fir Lichtenberg Mirror Piece

Description

This mirror is another in my "High Voltage" series. Using 6000+ Volts of raw electricity, curious and striking Lichtenberg patterns are burned deep into the beautiful straight grain Fir. Pairing this method with contrasting materials and the unique pinwheeled design results in pieces that will surely have your guests stopping to examine..
Four panels of beautiful Fir have seen their way to my electric chair, and then been surrounded with a raw welded steel framework. The steel has been heated and gun blued to produce the different tones that accentuate it's presence. Spikes of copper have been driven into the wood around the perimeter to produce a pleasing edge detail.  All wood and metal has been sealed, and mounting hardware installed for ease.
