High collectible very rare Lamy Safari Savannah Green from 1980,
in used but good condition
in original Box
Not the 2021 re-release!
This pen is one of the first generation which were produced in three colors:
Savannah Green, Terracotta Orange and Charcoal black.
The first editions  (1980) were without the inscription West-Germany at the bottom of the barrel.
The future second generation, a few years later were marked with West- Germany  at the bottom.
Characteristic for the first generation of the Lamy Safari, is the 'hexagonal'  brass cap nut which holds the inner cap and the cross screw for the clip.The future generations were equipped with a brass 'round' cap nut.
The original off-white colored inner cap of the pen was deteriorated and felt in parts. I replaced it by a new future generation black version inner cap.
The last detail different from future generations, is the pen was designed for cartridges or the old -style metal squeeze bar converter, so there are only two wide slots at the threaded end of the section ( photo).
